Guitar & Bass Tuition

At present, there are only very limited places for regular lessons. If you are interested, it might be best to send an email indicating what days of the week and what times suit you. If there are no vacancies in your preferred time slot, David will let you know, and offer to put you on a waiting list.

David has been mentoring and encouraging young (and not so young) guitar players for many years, and offers private guitar and bass lessons for residents in the South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne. 

David offers lessons that are:

• relaxed, friendly, and unintimidating.
• conducted at the student's own pace.
• focused on the student's musical interests.
• suited to acoustic or electric guitar, or electric bass.
• suitable for children or adults.
• suited to beginners just starting out or intermediate players looking to stretch themselves and learn different styles and techniques.
• suited to almost any styles of contemporary guitar playing: rock, blues, pop, folk, funk, fingerstyle, jazz, country...whatever it is the student is interested in.

Lessons can also include music theory, notation, reading music and TAB, and can also include tuition in using equipment like amps, effects and recording software. David can also assist you with transcribing your favourite solos.

Lessons are available Monday to Friday during the school term. The most popular time slots are between 4:00pm and 7:00pm, however, David can accomodate lessons at other times if you prefer.

The teaching studio is in an ideal location for students living in Carrum Downs, Skye, Sandhurst, Seaford, Frankston, Patterson Lakes or Cranbourne. It's also just a short drive away for students living in Lynbrook, Langwarrin, Bangholme, Carrum, Narre Warren or surrounding suburbs. 

David has undergone the Australian working with children police check.
