We offer a specialised service in digital recording. We can provide acoustic or electric guitar, or electric bass to any digital recording project you are working on. All without taking up expensive studio time. Think of us as a remote session-musician service.
We can also use MIDI sequences rendered with state-of-the-art samples to add almost any instrument to your project.
To start the process, you send us a rough mix of your recording project to date, along with your requirements for the recorded part. You can describe your requirement by providing a written part or by giving us a general idea for the style of the part, leaving the rest to us. If you can't provide a backing track, you can provide us with tempo information and a basic chart instead.
We use that as a guide track to record the part. We then extract those parts as WAV files and return them to you on CD or your producer for integration into your project.
Because you are not with us in the studio, you need to be very clear on what you want. But we will work with you to get a part you are happy with.
In general, our director (David Leeding) will perform on the recording. However, we do have access to several other excellent local musicians.
"Turn Around"
This track, from the 2010 album Upside Down by Monique Lisbon, features David playing several lead and acoustic guitar parts. David also sequenced the drums and bass for this song.
"You"
This track, from the 2006 album Wounded Beauty by Monique Lisbon, features David playing a rich acoustic guitar accompaniment. The guitar parts were arranged by David.
"Deliberately"
Also from Monique's Wounded Beauty CD, this track features some 1970s-esque lead guitar work. The first section of this clip is a short guitar solo. The second section is the bridge of the song in which David plays some organ/synth-like chords on guitar before doubling the melody. The final part is the outro of the song, containing more lead work.
"If the Truth Hurts"
This track contains the introduction and first verse of this song, which is from Monique's Fragments of Home Book and CD package. The song is also available on the 2003 album If the Truth Hurts. David plays lead fills on an acoustic guitar throughout this song.
"How Long"
This song is from the 1997 Lies of Love album by Monique Lisbon. David recorded two rhythm guitar tracks on this song.
"Hold You Safely"
This sample is also from the Lies of Love album. This section is David's guitar solo from the song.
"Were You There"

For acoustic guitar work, David uses a one-of-a-kind Maton Custom Shop guitar. This guitar has a beautiful bright tone. For electric guitar work, David prefers Ernie Ball Musicman "Luke" and "Luke" BFR guitars; beautiful boutique guitars capable of a wide variety of tones. David also uses a number of Ibanez guitars and basses, including a semi-acoustic model with a good jazz tone.
Pricing is very dependent on the kind of part you need, and it's complexity. To give you a rough idea, a simple rhythm guitar part might cost $120 AUD to $300 AUD. A detailed acoustic guitar accompaniment might cost between $300 AUD to $600 AUD. A short guitar solo would cost in the order of $120 AUD to $300 AUD.
