Privacy & Copyright

Privacy Statement

Audio Graffiti will not disclose personal details to third parties under any circumstances. All details collected by Audio Graffiti when accepting an order will be used solely and exclusive for communication with, or providing services to, the owner of those details.

Audio Graffiti will not publish names of clients on its web site without first seeking permission of the client, and then, only in the context of displaying portions of the client’s work for purposes of depicting the quality or range of Audio Graffiti’s services.

Any raw materials (manuscripts, CDs, electronic files) provided to Audio Graffiti for the purposes of engraving, transcription, sequencing or recording, will be securely archived on completion of the job or cancellation of an order. If you prefer, we can arrange for these items to be destroyed or returned to you (customers who cancel their order may be required to cover the costs of returning the materials).

Copyright

All orders are accepted on the understanding that you control the copyright for the work, or that you have obtained appropriate permission or licence from the copyright holder.

If you require transcription, engraving or sequencing of music published by another artist, and which is currently under copyright, the onus is on you to seek the permission of the copyright controller. We do not have the capacity to do this ourselves, and will assume that you have done this yourself.

Audio Graffiti will not distribute your materials – or products we have prepared for you – to any other party, whether or not you are the copyright holder. We will retain a backup copy for our own records and to assist you in the event that your own copy is lost, but we will make no other copies. Your work will be treated confidentially and with proper security measures.

We may ask to use a portion of your work on our web site as a sample of the kind and quality of our services. But we will respect your wishes if you would prefer we did not do this. Generally, only a page or two of engraving will be published, and no more than a minute of a recording used.

If you are not an Audio Graffiti customer but have found copyright material published on our website, or have seen it published elsewhere with the Audio Graffiti logo, please contact us immediately you notice the infringement.

Licensing of Recorded, Sequenced or Rendered Music

In most cases, we are happy to sign a release waiving rights to the use of our “performances” in your projects. If you want to use our performances in additional projects or for additional purposes, you should contact us first. However, it is unlikely to be a problem.

In some circumstances, we may offer a heavily discounted rate for our work in exchange for retaining the rights to our “performance” and therefore our right to a share in any royalities.
